Kilimanjaro

4 safaris

Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895 meters. Its existence came about as a result of volcanic activity. It is a giant stratovolcano that began forming about a million years ago and is composed of many layers of hardened volcanic ash, lava, pumice and tephra — fragmental material that is the fallout from a volcanic eruption. It is located in Tanzania near the Kenyan boarder. It is commonly refered to as the 'Roof of Africa.' At Kiboko Kenya Safaris we hold some of the best Kilimanjaro  climbing success rates.
